The national airline of the Czech Republic, Czech Airlines j.s.c. has its hub at Václav Havel Airport Prague, and other bases in Slovak cities of Bratislava and Košice and the Czech city of Karlovy Vary. The airline covers 36 destinations and has its head office in Vokovice, Prague.

One of the five oldest airlines in the world, Czech Airlines was established in 1923 and is a founder member of IATA, the International Air Transport Association. The carrier has also been a member of the the SkyTeam Alliance, a global alliance of air carriers since 2001. Czech Airlines j.s.c. handles passenger air transport, leases spare aircraft capacity to other air carriers, operates charter flights and offers transport for shipments and mail.
