The flag carrier airline of the Netherlands, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, legal name, Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij N.V. is a member of the SkyTeam airline alliance and part of the Air France–KLM group. KLM is the oldest scheduled airline, founded in October of 1919. The airline’s head office is in Amstelveen, with its hub base located at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
The airline operates worldwide flights to about 145 destinations and over 200 aircraft. With over 32,000 staff, the airline endeavours to create memorable experiences for their customers by making them feel comfortable, recognized and at ease. The airline, which merged with Air France in 2004, has an extensive network of European and Intercontinental destinations, providing direct connections to numerous capitals and economic centres around the globe.
