The airline, which began operations in 1933 with five aircraft, now has a passenger and cargo fleet of 338 aircraft, and has maintained a steady growth, which has resulted in making it one of the top airlines in the world.
The airline launched a new maintenance and repair center at Sabiha Gökçen International Airport in 2014; this development has been noted by global aviation and regarded as a significant step forward for Turkish Civil Aviation. With its subsidiaries, Goodrich Turkish Technic Service Center, TEC, TSI Turkish Seat Industries and TCI Turkish Cabin Interior, and a workforce of almost 7,000, the maintenance and repair center has raised the bar in aviation maintenance.
